Renewable Natural Gas is biomethane or biogas that is released through the decomposition of organic matter and is used as a replacement for fossil natural gas.

Biogas or biomethane comes from municipal solid waste landfills, organic waste management operations and many other sources. Renewable Natural Gas can be used to generate electricity, in thermal applications or for vehicle fuel.
