Barrie, Ontario, July 10, 2013 — Busch Systems International, a leading manufacturer of recycling, waste and compost containers has announced the conclusion of the campus recycling “Like the Link” contest. Eastern Mennonite University has won the grand prize of 10 “Uptown” recycling stations for their campus recycling program. The recycling units are valued at approximately $10,000.
The “Like the Link” contest ran from June 1st until June 28th and encouraged colleges and universities across North America to post their campus recycling website link through the Busch Systems website. The schools were then encouraged to garner as many votes (‘likes’) as possible supporting their link. The top three vote-getting links were entered into a draw for the top prize. The top three recycling links were submitted by EMU, University of Illinois at Chicago and Howard University with EMU taking home the top prize and the runners up each winning a $500 credit in recycling bins for their school recycling program.
Busch Systems ran the contest in an effort to increase awareness of campus recycling programs across North America. The schools were encouraged to submit the links to their recycling pages as a means of creating awareness for their recycling efforts.
