In an effort to enhance their greening initiatives, Georgian College has launched a new program!
GEEP (Global Electric Electronic Processing) and Georgian College officially launched their e-waste collection program throughout all 7 campuses in Ontario.
The program kicked off in full force back in January 2011 and continues to be a big success. The program uses GEEP e-waste cages to collect big e-waste such as computers, printers, TV’s, etc. GEEP also collects cell phones as a part of the recycling program, and in order to protect the personal information of Georgian staff and faculty, we needed to come up with a solution to collect cellular phones and keep them safe. That’s where the custom made Busch Systems recycling bins come in handy. The recycling bins are secure, sturdy, and are a great advertising tool for any program. They can be used numerous times and they are very affordable.
In the high traffic areas of the campuses you will see these cages and bins ready and waiting to collect. Georgian College, Barrie Campus is equipped with three custom recycling bins, the Orillia campus has two, and Collingwood, Orangeville, Muskoka, Midland and Owen Sound campuses have one.
