Founded in 1936, The National Wildlife Federation is America's largest conservation and education organization. Their mission is to unite all Americans to ensure wildlife thrive in a rapidly changing world. In order to achieve this, the Federation works to inspire the next generation of conservationists and mobilize a diverse conservation army to broaden the stewardship ethic and conservation action necessary to save thousands of at-risk species in our time.
Made up of hunters, anglers, hikers, birders, wildlife watchers, boaters, climbers, campers, cyclists, gardeners, farmers, forest stewards, and other outdoor enthusiasts, their efforts have saved wetlands, safeguarded and created wilderness areas, and protected wildlife whose habitats are disappearing across the nation, from bison to meadowlarks, grizzly bears, and sea turtles.
